Handicrafts are an opportunity for the empowerment of women in remote sectors of the country.

Three years ago, when Latinlán emerged, the social research carried out showed us that in San Jacinto, crafts had become the only source of income for many households that had not been able to participate again in agricultural activities on behalf of the armed conflict in the Montes of Maria.

Currently Latinlán has diversified its commercial offer, reaching communities of Caquetá, Putumayo, Córdoba and Sucre. We have constantly seen in the narrative of the artisan women we support, that crafts are an economic opportunity for a more dignified and prosperous life.

Women who lost their jobs, women with disabilities, women who face domestic violence, women who fight, and who work through their hands generate income, feel useful, become independent, overcome and set an example of life.

Those are the women behind Latinlán products. Happy month of women to all of you !!!
